Mawi Valley Construction Update – October 2025

Welcome to the latest Mawi Valley construction update, where we share real progress from our sanctuary in South Lombok. Each month we move closer to realising our vision for a sustainable, nature-integrated community that blends luxury living with environmental stewardship.

This October, we’re proud to mark another major milestone — the completion of our main access road, paving the way (literally!) for the first phase of villa construction.

Main Access Road Complete

The main access road through Mawi Valley is now complete, opening the heart of the site and easing access to future villa plots. This essential step connects the hillside to the coastal areas and marks tangible progress toward our sustainable development goals.

With easier access now in place, we’re shifting focus toward the next stage: villa construction.

Villa Construction Begins 15 November

The next chapter begins soon — groundbreaking for our first villas starts on 15 November.
Each villa has been designed to harmonize with the natural contours of the valley, using eco-conscious materials and passive cooling designs that reduce environmental impact.

For investors and early buyers, this milestone represents the transformation of plans into reality — and the beginning of Lombok’s most forward-thinking villa community.

Sustainable Drainage and Eco-Infrastructure

We’re currently installing sustainable drainage systems in steeper areas of the development. As the early wet season approaches, our team is closely monitoring natural water flow patterns to help refine future eco-infrastructure designs.

These systems are built to work with the landscape — minimizing erosion, managing runoff naturally, and helping us achieve our long-term vision for sustainable property development in Lombok.

Vetiver Grass Rooted and Thriving

Our vetiver grass has now taken root across key slopes of Mawi Valley, a critical step in stabilizing the land ahead of the rainy season.

Vetiver’s deep root system protects soil naturally and aligns perfectly with our commitment to eco-friendly construction in Indonesia.

This regenerative approach not only prevents erosion but also supports the biodiversity that makes Mawi Valley’s landscape so unique.

Permaculture Ponds: Building for the Future

By the end of this month, construction will begin on our permaculture ponds — a central feature of Mawi Valley’s water management and reforestation strategy.

These ponds will harvest rainwater, support native plant growth, and sustain our fruit forest program, which aims to regenerate the local ecosystem and provide natural abundance for years to come.
